For those of you still confused about the fictitious evidence presented at the trial, here is one clarification.There was not 84 searches for chloroform, there was only 1.Of course this is what the defense claimed all along,but the state tried to convince the jury there was 84 searches. Most likely, the reason for the single search, was simply Casey's curiosity.Casey's then boyfriend, Roberto Morales had a humorous post to his MySpace page. It was a postcard that said "Win her over with chloroform". She did not know what chloroform was, so she looked it up. When she did, she learned it was a popular anesthetic of the early 1900's. That was that. If she had googled it further, she would have also learned that chloroform is almost impossible to manufacture by an individual without killing themselves in the process.
As if the inference that a 22 year old girl would actually attempt the long, dangerous and laborious process of replicating a drug from the early 1900's in her garage was not ridiculous enough, the state also wanted us to believe that she used it to kill her child. To add more fuel to the fire, the prosecution also falsely stated that the word was searched 84 times, when they were fully aware, that was not the case.
Moronic as all this sounds, there are actually members of the public who fell for the state's fairytale, hook, line and sinker. Thank God the members of the jury did not.

The title describes Casey Marie Anthony's swift and well choreographed release from the Orange County Jail. At exactly 12:11am (EST), her attorney Jose Baez walked quickly out the front door of the jail, closely followed by Casey, with her head held high , followed by an armed officer. Both Casey and Jose got into the back seat of a dark SUV and barely closed the door before it sped off. It was purportedly going to the Orlando Airport .A WESH helicopter, which was positioned to film the release, tried to follow the speedy SUV, but it lost them somewhere along the way and just started to zero in on several random SUVs before finally giving up. Kathi Belich was reporting from the jail and seemed completely out of the loop periodically. While Kathi Belich was never able to quantify the location of the SUV, or Casey and Jose,for that matter, Fox 5 was reportedly airing film of Casey and Jose boarding a small private plane at the airport.
So, here's to Casey and the entire defense team.Congratulations !

Justice Prevails!!!!
The trial of Casey Marie Anthony has ended on a high note. One of truth and justice. She was found NOT GUILTY of murder in the 1st degree, manslaughter, and aggravated child abuse. She was found guilty of only the charges concerning the lies to Law Enforcement, and hopefully she will only get time served. This has been an excruciatingly long three years.
Despite the horrendous lies by the media, the inept acts of law enforcement, the manufactured and 'enhanced' evidence, and overzealous prosecutors....Casey finally had her day in court. Defense attorneys, Jose Baez, Cheney Mason and Dorothy Clay Simms have done a stellar job defending their client. They had complete faith in Casey's innocence despite the constant media assassination that continues to permeate the airwaves.
The common people among us, being so easily led, tended to favor the opinions of the media. Similar to the angry hordes during the Middle Ages who were whipped into a frenzy simply through false rumors and innuendo, these blood thirsty minions were clamoring for Casey's death. They still are. They are forming lynch mobs as I type.
The more intellectual just yearned for a fair and just trial. We firmly believed in our Constitution and prayed that Casey would be considered INNOCENT until proven guilty. That prayer seemed to be falling on deaf ears at times since the only audible assumptions were coming from the very people who wanted desperately to see Casey convicted and murdered by the state.
The universe works in mysterious ways. Unequivocally.It has managed to right the wrong. Casey should never have been charged with murder 1 in the first place.The death penalty should never have been a consideration. There is no way Casey would have ever willfully harmed her beautiful baby, Caylee. We may never know all the pieces concerning this tragic puzzle, but the most important piece has been revealed...her mother was absolutely not responsible for her death.
So this Tuesday, July 5th, in 2011 has been a very good day for all of us who believed that right would conquer wrong in the end, and that somehow, someway, justice would find a way.

Barrel O' Holes
We finally heard opening statements from both the state and the defense in the tragic case of 'The State of Florida vs. Casey Anthony'. Shocking, alarming and totally unexpected do not begin to cover it.
The state layed out a basic timeline and are trying to prove that Casey is guilty of murdering her beautiful daughter, Caylee.
The defense claim Caylee's death is a tragic accident that snowballed out of control. They are also seeking to prove that Casey's father, George Anthony, was also present at the family's home, when the baby accidently fell in the pool and drowned.
I'll admit it. I was wrong.
I never thought accidental drowning was even a possibility.
I was so sure that Caylee disappeared while in someone else's care.
I was also sure that George Anthony and Cindy Anthony did not know a thing.
The one aspect where I was completely correct however, is just as I have stated ad nauseum, Casey is not a murderer and she most definitely DID NOT murder her baby.
I've also warned the naysayers never to underestimate Jose Baez and Cheney Mason. They make a phenomenal team. Baez was so golden in his opening statement that I had to wear sunglasses.
Now, before everyone starts yelling, let me clarify that we have only seen opening statements and the testimony of the very first witness, who just happened to be George Anthony. We have not learned the complete truth yet. I expect many more questions to pop up during this trial. I hope we will also learn the truth.
As always, in this case, facts, although few, present new questions. It's like holes in a barrel. You start with three holes. You just get one hole plugged, when two more pop out. It just seems more and more overwhelming and problematic. So, if the Defense Team is correct and everything we learned from them today is in fact true...I now have too many new holes.
Here are the holes I need filled…
What did GA and Casey do with Caylee’s body after discovering her in the pool?
Why was there duct tape around the skull? Was the tape merely a red herring, placed there to create more confusion?
How did Roy Kronk obtain the body?
Does Leonard Padilla fit in here anywhere? Remember what an arrogant, cowboy hat wearing, toothpick chewing guy he was? Running to the rescue to pay bail for Casey only to back out later.Always being “100% sure’ that Caylee’s remains would be found in this place or that place, etc. He was correct about Caylee's date of death, however. How is it that he knew that do you think? Wonder what, if anything, he might have known?
Has the state known about the actual cause of death for quite some time or were they surprised too?
Who is Caylee's biological father? Is the defense inferring that it could be George Anthony?
How much (if anything) did Cindy know? I didn’t see her reacting to Jose Baez' opening statement. Personally, I, audibly gasped outloud. (reduntant sentence, I know).
I noticed Cindy was crying but I also saw her put her hand on her husband's hand to comfort him.
I expect many more questions to pop up during the course of this trial. I hope we'll also learn the truth.

Arpad Vass and His Conflict of Interest

Ashton's Behavior Is An Embarrassment
Congratulations to the defense and to half of the prosecution for their well prepared, insightful arguments in the hearings this past week.
Cheney Mason, although a little hard to understand sometimes due to his thick Southern drawl, was both truthful and passionate in addressing the court.
Linda Drane Burdick is always very professional, confident and well versed in case law, just as she was during these hearings. Jeff Ashton however, was an embarrassment to the state. He was acting like a junior high student, smirking, snickering ,and whispering to the man sitting next to him, all while Cheney Mason was speaking.
I couldn't help wondering why Judge Perry did not admonish him. Jose Baez would probably have been sanctioned for behavior like that.

I'm posting this because I think the decision to keep her in shackles should be revisited. She is hardly going to attempt an escape, and she does not possess the Hannibal Lector demeanor required to openly harm one of the deputies who is handling her. She is handcuffed, isn't that sufficient?
I realize that if the shackles are deemed unnecessary in this case it opens a can of worms as far as other inmates are concerned, but these decisions should be handled on a case to case basis. She is not a dangerous menace to society. The shackles are merely one more tool being used to humiliate and demean her and actually seem to be causing more problems than they are preventing. Enough with the shackles already.
